Event Details:
- Dates: Thursday and Friday, Januray 15th and 16th, 2026
- Time: Starting at 9:00 AM and concluding at 5:00 PM each day
- Location: Saarland University, Building A2.4, Room 0.18
Workshop Schedule:
Each day will include two sessions with a one-hour lunch break from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
Session I (Theory) (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM)
- Scientific Background
- Preprocessing
- Enrichment analysis
- Differential analysis
- Deconvolution
- Technical support for the installation of packages (if needed)
Lunch Break (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM)
Session II (1:00 PM - 5:00 PM)
- Downloading dataset (.idat files) and Preprocessing
- Sample sheet preparation
- Normalization, Filtering, QC
- Analyzing data in R (outside RnBeads): R functions, data structure, Visualization (PCA + heatmap)
Day Two Schedule:
Session III (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM)
- Differential analysis
- Annotation
- Heatmap
- Counting genes
- Enrichment + Analysis
Lunch Break (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM)
Session IV (1:00 PM - 5:00 PM)
- Deconvolution (Advanced Users)
- Running the full workflow with different parameters/datasets
- Summary and Q/A
